Raising Playful Kids

Privacy

Effective: October 19, 2026

Raising Playful Kids lists things to do in the Tri-Cities. Here is what we keep, and why.

Your account

If you create an account, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also get your Google name, email address and account ID. We don't get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.

If you use a password, we store it only as a salted hash, never the password itself.

Saved events

When you tap the heart, we save that event to your account. If you're not signed in, it's kept only in your browser, and it moves to your account when you sign in.

Forms

When you submit an event, send a correction or contact us, we keep what you typed so we can act on it. If you add an email address, we use it only to follow up about that message.

Cookies

We set cookies only when you sign in: one keeps you signed in (up to 30 days), one protects your account from forged requests, and a short-lived one (10 minutes) is used during Google sign-in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies.

Where your data is stored

Accounts, saved events and form messages are stored in Cloudflare's D1 database. To limit abuse, we briefly keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for rate limiting.

Some images, map tiles and fonts load from other services. Like any website, those services see your IP address.

Selling and sharing

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the services that run the site (Cloudflare, and Google if you sign in with Google).

Deleting your account

Go to My events, open the account menu and choose Delete account. That deletes your account, your saved events and your sign-ins right away. To delete a form message, email us.
